Last January, 91 luxurious and high end homes were sold in the Denver area according to property management in Denver. Sales have increased by 85.7% from the sales of 49 homes valued at $1 million or more. Other realtors such as Denver Association of Realtors have also reported similar trends.
The sales of luxury homes was particularly strong last January, there were 14 high end homes worth more than $2 million dollars each that were sold. The average sale price of luxury homes for January has increased by 4% from a year ago.
Among the homes sold, the most expensive sale was a 7-bedroom, 6-bathroom home located at Cherry Hills Village. The 12,000 square foot home was sold for 6.53 million.
For January, the Denver real estate market boasts that they have the most million dollar sales, a total of 31 luxury homes were sold. In addition, sellers received approximately 97% of the price they asked, 1% higher compared to the amount received by sellers from January 2015 to December 2015. Homes were sold at an average of 97.4 days on the market. Metro Denver’s luxury market is one of the country’s hottest in America and is off to a good start for this year.
